ROSGEO PLANS TO CREATE A CENTER FOR DEVELOPING GEOLOGICAL EXPLORATION TECHNOLOGIES BASED ON SKOLKOVO

Today, within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, JSC ROSGEO and the Nonprofit Organization Fund for the Center of Development and Commercialization of New Technologies signed a partnership agreement.

The document was initiated by Dmitry Gavrilov, Head of the Administrative Unit, Deputy Director General of JSC ROSGEO, on behalf of the geological holding company, and Kirill Kay, Senior Vice President for Innovations, on behalf of the SKOLKOVO Foundation.

The agreement defines the principles for the establishment a partner center by ROSGEO on the basis of SKOLKOVO, which will refine and improve unique technologies for geological exploration. The main areas of its activities are the development of the domestic system for visualization, processing and interpretation of petrophysical information (the GEMMA.CGE project), the 2D/3D seismic survey and seismic data processing system (the Supervising.CGE project), the 2D/3D seismic data time-domain processing (the "STsS.CGE" project), the creation of a single, integrated, domestic platform for processing, interpreting seismic and petrophysical data (the Geo-platform project), modules of the system of visualization, interpretation and analysis of 2D/3D seismic data, including the development of techniques of seismic inversions (INPRES.CGE project), technologies of depth and time migration as well as velocity analysis of seismic data (the Migration.*.CGE project).

“This list of software solutions is strategic for the future of Russian geological exploration,” - Dmitry Gavrilov emphasized. “We have repeatedly talked about the need to create domestic software in this area, and about import substitution. This is a positive step in this direction. We hope that in cooperation with SKOLKOVO we will succeed in this work and show that Russian developments can be in demand on the market.”
